  • It does look a resonable deal, but the RRP is a little inflated I think?

Thanks OP. Wish I'd seen this before I bought a Lenovo, not at all happy with it. Couldn't afford a Sony at the time.

Thank you, just bought myself an early Christmas present! Chose the Acer for £399, i5, 8GB, 1TB. Hot deals have a code for £10 off too.

ooft! That Acer is an absolute steal! i5 processor, 8gb RAM and 1TB, a similar spec machine cost me over £599 during the summer, and that was a great deal then.

  • It may well be a 'good' price, but don't get wrapped up in the name Sony. Viao laptops are not what they used to be, the components in these are cheap, poor quality and it's well known come littered with issues.

Make sure you read decent reviews first from those who know about these things.

  • To throw it in the mix, a few years back I bought a sony vaio from sainsbury on the half price deal around Christmas, the hard drive failed the second time it switched on. Upon phoning customer services they could only refund as they do not stock these anymore as it's left over stock that they were unable to shift.

Hopefully the ones on here are not faulty but bare in mind you wont be able to get a replacement if they are faulty as it's clearance stock.

Thank you for the information, ordered one, as needed a new laptop with a decent spec. I used the code you mentioned on on HUKD.
