3 people I know found a decent job this week. 2 in thier 50's, one who just returned after 2 years of unpaid international cycling competitions.

What's up? You got a crap present in the secret santa again?

He either hasn't got a job, or is in one where the low workload and demands, and the lack of management enables him to spend the day trying to wind people up on website forums (civil service ?)
No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

If you learned gents are so confident that things are really on track and we will start to see 'green shoots' appear, then just let the severe critics have their say, because before long they could all be eating their words.

Treat them with silent contemp, then that would not bear well in any Forum.

    I love forums.

I think the revision to GDP estimate is neither here nor there. Only on the internet does this get translated to 'I think everything's rosy'

Probably peeved off because the Mayan 13th Baktun ended and nothing bad happened.

I'm not sure about when the green shoots will appear. But then unlike many people I did not expect them to do much more than barely show above the soil during the lifetime of this Parliament, given the starting point.

The point is that a thread described as "shock news" referring to a 0.1% correction of the previous quarter's growth figure, has to have come from a wind-up merchant, and not a very good one at that.

I know, between that and my crappy secret santa present things aren't looking too good.

Here's hoping my mammy will get me something good for Crimbo.

It gave a few loony-tunes, tree-huggers, pagan nutters, and conspiracy theorists around the world something to enliven their empty little lives for a while.

Although I have you down as a bit of a p*****k, if you work somewhere that they do secret Santa then you have my deepest sympathy and I can make a little allowance for aberrant behaviour.
