For those interested or have kids into PC gaming the annual Steam xmas sale has started early this year:
http://store.steampowered.com/
Format is most major publishers catalogues are 50% off throughout and different individual games get bumped up to 75%-90% off for a day at a time, different ones each day running thru and after xmas usually up to the new year
eg: Some from today's set are:
Deus ex: Human revolution (2011) Normally £14.99 -> £3.74
Borderlands Original (2010) Normally £19.99 -> £4.99
Borderlands 2 (2012) Normally £29.99 -> £14.99
Himan Absolution (2012) Normally £29.99 -> £14.99
Mirror's Edge (2009) Normally £12.99 -> £3.24
Prince of Persia (2008) Normally £9.99 -> £2.49
NB: These are digital downloads but once purchased stay associated with your account and can be re-downloaded at any point in future ad-infinitum -Steam is a popular/major/reliable retailer, basically this is the main one putting stores selling PC games on the high street out of business (eg GAME, HMV, etc)
