Electric blanket - guarantee or not?

Need help please. Bought an electric blanket from CNM Online in September 2009 came with a 3 year guarantee, worked fine until November 2010. Spoke to the company was told to return the item so they could check it, they did, agreed it was not working and I got a replacement. Within 2 months the replacement one also packed up, contacted the company again, this time they told me to dispose of the faulty blanket and I got a replacement. Two days ago the blanket stopped working rang the company and they said since I bought the original in 2009 my guarantee had ran out, I argued that the surely the guarantee starts again with the new one apparently not. Anyone know what the legal rules are on this as I am not happy that the electric blanket kept breaking down and if it has a 3 year guarantee why is this not applied to each new one?

It is usual for guarantees to run from the date of the original purchase, no matter how many replacements or repairs are made in the meantime. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Ditto above.
Original contract was made when you bought the original hecne any guarantee runs from that moment, regardless of any replacements.
You've had the 3 years use and the guarantee has expired.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
