In the Sunday Telegraph there was a flier for a free copy of Woman and Home magazine and also Ideal Home magazine.
Telephone Number 0845 3579999
Quote Codes:
Woman and Home - WH04

They did try and sell me a further 3 copies of each magazine for £1 each but I declined the offer.

I thought we were all supposed to be trying to save money!!!! Well I have signed up for four magazines....How useless am I!!! Did you realise that there are also mens interest magazines on the same number i.e. Golf Monthly, Trout & salmon, Rugby, Motor racing etc., and special interest hobbies, photography, model aircraft and toher such exciting things!! So maybe sign up for hubby and keep him amused for three months!!!!
Do remember to cancel the Direct Debit though otherwise you are signed up for six months!!! If I don't that means I would have to pay roughly £60.00...£10 a month!! I'll be having sleepless nights.0 -
I never signed up for magazines like this before. What details do you give to them. Your card details or your bank details?0

For the free copies that I posted about originally, all you need to give them is your name and address. For the subscriptions you will have to give them your bank details so that they can set it up as a direct debit. They hope that you will forget to cancel and they can take further payments from you.0

I agree with Alison B if you just want the free copies then stand firm and just take those. I chose to take more and give them my bank details cos I buy the other magazines anyway (when I can afford to) so I have saved money in the long run. However, I will remember to cancel my direct debit , but as I said earlier if you don't the cost will be prohibitive.
Also think about the dates if we get this months copy (MAY) then that is already on the shelves. Another two copies should take us into July/August
where are we all supposed to be then? On holiday..and what do you forget to do? Cancel Direct debits.. SO make a note in your diary , on your fridge or just cancel after the second magazine.0
