Does anybody have one of those insulated bags from a supermarket (usually silver, about the size of a bag for life, designed to keep your shopping cool on the way home)? If so, are they any good and roughly how much are they?
I'm due to drive 4 hours to my sister's for Christmas tomorrow and need to take the dog's frozen food. Completely forgot that I'd need a cool bag. I can get to Sainsbury's in the morning if it would be worth it, but not really to any other shops, which in any case I doubt would stock coolbags this time of year! Have got an ice pack in the freezer which I'd put in.
Thanks

I wouldn't bother. Just put it with the cool pack, wrap in tin foil and a towel and shove in a carrier bag in the boot. It will be fine0

I have an Aldi one which is very good. Do you have a cool box? that could be used instead, or as others have said wrap it well in newspaper with the ice pack and it should be fineBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

You could use a plastic bag/box and buy some ice.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

Newspaper is a very good insulator. Just put the food along with your ice block in a plastic bag then wrap well in thick layers of newspaper. Put the whole lot in another bag and tie it up to keep it all together and it should be fine at the other end, unless you have heating in your boot!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
