hi everone,
i need some advice plz.
my sister has been sectioned under the mental health act but before she went into hospital she maxed out her credit cards and overdraft. She is in debt of almost £3000, and every month the bank is charging her interest. I have paid all her utility bills and running her houshold but now i have even gone into my overdraft.
basically we cant afford to pay the £3000, does any1 know how i can get the bank to write-off the debt.
plz plz advise me on wot to do.
Many thanx
Jazmin

Jazmin, sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but have you tried contacting the citizens advice bureau - they may be able to advise you what to do.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and I hope you manage to get it sorted out."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I would suggest writing to the bank and explaining the situation. I don't think they will write off the debt but they may stop adding interest. I have a friend who was in a similar situation to your sister she is now recovered and on a Debt Management Plan arrainged through CAB.
I hope your sister recovers soon. Good Luck"You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger
