How far have or would you travel?

As anybody travelled a fair distance to collect a prize? e.g travelled over 100 miles to collect a car? Or would you travel a good way if the prize was a £500 gift card for a shopping centre?

I have never been lucky enough to win a big prize that had to be collected, but I enter competitions that would be for a prize of say £500 to spend at a shopping centre, on the basis that if I could get there and back in a day on the train and take a day or two's holiday from work, then it would be well worth it.

When entering, I think about the travel involved and the potential prize. To my mind, a prize of say £50 that is over 50 miles away would not be worth it, unless for example it was tickets for a concert or show in London that I really would love to see.

We travelled from Leeds to Birmingham for the Lipizzaner horse show prize, so that's 200 miles return plus parking, but well worth it.
For an event I would travel, but for a standard prize then the value would have to be several hundred pounds before I would enter.

    I would travel 100 miles for a car :D

Even holidays, I think about how much it would cost to get there on the train and whether it would be worth it. If travel is included, I'm there no matter what!
