kindle question

have bought a paperwhite for my mum. my 14 year old daughter is going to set it up etc tonight, i'm going to charge it now. my mum does have a computer and internet but doesnt use it much and it takes her ages to navigate around sites. I dont have a kindle, i anticiapte buying one in maybe a year or so after i;ve waded thru the book mountain in my spare bedroom! ANYWAY - i'm thinking that i'll open an amozon account in her name and load it up with books for her, i know the sort of stuff she likes. after xmas, when the reader is at her house, can i go on amazon and buy or download books if there are some good daily deals into her amazon account and then say once a week go to her house (or send one of the kids!) to plug her kindle into her computer and log into her amazon account and transfer the books from there to her reader? cheers

You can connect it to a PC or if available (and you set up for it) you can just use WIFI, so when she turns it on it will download any added books. You can add books at your house and then they will transfer to her kindle via her WIFI. You can have more than one device on your own amazon account.

Some libraries offer books out on Kindle and the like, though I'm not sure how that works
