    You can, or certainley on Chiltern railways, I have written to the bus company for them to consider the same way to pay.

    £1.70? Surely it's within your capabilities to have that amount of cash on your person??

    A few of you have rattled on about having £1.70 on you, in the snow conditions we just had, I was getting the bus to work, it was a pin to be popping into a shop to make unnecessary purchases to obtain change (only to have just missed a bus) the actual £1.70 or whatever is not a problem, I pay for most my purchases on debit card, it's easier and often you end up spending less. Some don't like having the bulk of coins on them.
