Morning all,
You are all doing really well. :T :T :T
£1.99 for me today for tissues, milk and a sundried tomato roll for lunch.
Hopefully that should be it for the week, except swimming which is in my budget. :j"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Morning Catt! We're saving to buy my Mum a computer for her Birthday... but only by 'making extra money' to fund it - so eBay, etc... made £20 extra yesterday via work, so that bumped it up a bit. Have until June to do it, and it's getting rid of a lot of our clutter!

PAP you can opt to pick your prints up for free from any Jessops - otherwise yes IIRC £2/£3 for postage.
NSD for me.
Really down after argument with Mum last night, however OH has just emailed to tell me there may be some more opportunities to emigrate to Aus! :j#

Morning all
Currently at work. Spend today may be £2.50 from the sandwich shop down the road (one of the cheapest). But later this evening, I am taking the imprtant step of talking to PayPlan. They are ringing me tonight with the aim of sorting out the best deal to get out of debt. Looks between DMP and IVA. I have drawn up a full financial analysis and it currently works out that I am £600+ every month (debt 43k excluding mortgage and council tax; half of which is with two creditors).
Any tips on key questions to ask will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance0 -
I haven't posted for a bit cos I've been just spending...
I got paid today, so the overbudget amount for last month was exactly £167, so not the end of the world by any stretch. I was looking to absorb that amount with this month's pay, but I think Apr/May will be an impossible task if I do. I've promised a friend I'd visit them in Barcalona, so I think I'll defer the repayment of the £167 until next month's pay and bring it all back in line then (costing me about £2 in interest in the meantime), which would cover my flight and little spending money (which is all I need).
So what have I been spending on? A lot of mailorder, but good stuff that I've been putting off buying for a while. I also managed to fix (and upgrade) my ipod mini, so that's got a new battery and an 8gb drive in it. I can still flip the other broken one I have on ebay for parts and spares (not having been able to repair it myself, I feel it's probably kaput).
You will see from my net worth below that I am roughly £8500 better off since 1 July. I realised that if I stick to my plan for the next two months, I can bring that figure up to £10,000 at the year mark. £10,000 in one year - I'm pretty stoked about that, not least because of all the interest I will save over the coming years.
I read recently that there are two ways of looking at wealth accumulation - one is the scrimp and save method, and the other is generation. You either make what you have go further (which is what I've mostly done) or you seek out new revenue and generate more wealth (which I've done a little of). I think over the next year I would like to focus more on the latter, and less on the former. It would be great to reduce the figure by £15,000 without spending any less.Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)
