Bank of Scotland Credit Card Guaranteed ?

Quick question to the more experienced out there !.
I have current accounts with the Halifax and Bank of Scotland, when I was in a Bank of Scotland branch last week the advisor showed me a screen on her computer called ‘Customer Insight’, and on it there was a credit card that could be applied for with a £2750 limit.
Does anyone know if that is guaranteed acceptance or not ?, or indeed how they come up with it in the first place.
I already have a credit card which is use and pay in full, but would close my existing one if I did get that one.
Just longer for pointers as I don’t want to apply if it’s going to be a waste.

My understanding is that is what is available to you from their internal score, but the application would still be subject to a credit check. My guess would be that unless anything untoward is found then you'll be accepted without any issues.0

My experience, with Halifax (although not very recent), is that no specific CRA 'credit card application search' is made.My understanding is that is what is available to you from their internal score, but the application would still be subject to a credit check. Instead, they base their offer on their most recent monthly CRA feed and the current account conduct/throughput.
Might have changed recently, but that's how it used to work in my experience.0 -
I have a Halifax CC and was accepted for a new BOS BT CC a few months ago and they didn't search any of the CRAs.0

Yes, I think you're right. The internal score is partially based on the cra feed so that would be enough to approve the application.0 -
The cins system will give an advisor a pretty good indication of what your eligible for but its still not a guarantee. Apply and close your current card if successful.0
