It is the cheapest I have seen a 360 premium pack for.
You get a 20gb HDD with it, when the elite comes out you will be able to buy the elite HDD which holds 120gb.
The connection is bespoke so you cannot buy an aftermarket HDD and connect it to the 360 ala PS3.
To be honest though as you can link your PC to the 360 for storing pictures and movies there is little need for a huge HDD.
With the xbox live you can download demos which are circa 700mb each and HD episodes of TV shows and movies so there may be a point in upgrading to the elite HDD when it comes out, it all depends how you use your console.

On a side note, the 20gb HDD that comes with the premium only holds circa 13gb, the rest has system files on it or something.

Premium always has 20gb hard drive.

If you want a smaller disk than that, it would be possible to get a core console and add an external hdd (just a standard usb one) and listen to music or watch videos (.wmv) off of it. It's worthy of note, however, that this device will connect in read-only mode, meaning you'll have to fill it up with a PC then read it back with the 360.

This also means that you wouldn't be able to save games, use xbox live, or play xbox games. So I'd stick with the 20gb...
  • someone is selling it, its second hand but only a few months old with 2 games (gears of war and need for speed).
