Are they likely to survive if planted outside?

Do you mean survive long term? No! They are cut trees and don't have any roots. They may be OK for the Christmas period outside just as they may be OK indoors.

    Hiya,

Just to let peeps know it seems to be store specific as still £10 at edmonton ikea - signs all said this but i even got the checkout girl to see on the till as i was buying other bits too.

Signs are still saying that at a tenner you'll get the £20 voucher fro jan tho so may still be handy of you intend to purchase something later.

It also looked like the £10 included the stand for the tree (one of the type that holds it & allows you to water it a bit too) - a bit like one of these http://www.toolbox.co.uk/elho-nordman-christmas-tree-16915-132290?utm_source=GoogleBase&utm_medium=GB&utm_campaign=GoogleBase

so still a bit of a bargain if you haven't already got one

If anyone's interested, my local Wilkinson's had potted (with roots) Xmas trees reduced to £9 (or £9.50??) last Monday. I was very tempted, but I figure "old faithful" (20 year old fake tree) can have another outing and the money can stay in my pocket :) (but given the time of year, probably not for long :o)
