Hello,
Can I ask your advice please ladies!
My friend is getting married in 2014, and I'm buying her a wedding magazine for next year as a Christmas present.
I was thinking of You and Your Wedding, but then realised they are every two months and thought Perfect Wedding might be better.
What are your preferences?
Any advice is most welcome

Wedding magazines are VERY similar, so I can't really see what she would gain from 12 issues of very similar content.
When you go to weddings fayres etc you get LOTS of free magazine and to be honest, after you've read a few you start to see them all merge into one.
Could you maybe pay for her to attend some big wedding fayres near where you are? The bigger ones tend to be the ones you have to register for and pay for.
you could present her with a wedding magazine, some wedding farye tickets and maybe a little something else?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I had WEDDING which was every 2 months and I loved it
would definitely recommend.

Either Perfect wedding or Wedding Ideas as they are both small magazines they fit in your handbag and a better price than the bigger mags at £2.99 loads more info in them not just adverts for dresses and suppliers.

I loved Wedding Ideas - bought it for 2 years and didn't get bored of it
The content was realistic too - lots of budgeting ideas etc, they don't assume that everyone is spending a minimum of 25k on a wedding that the father of the bride is paying for, which is what I found with some other mags.0 -
I also loved wedding ideas as it listed wedding fair dates and there was a section on real life weddings which i got lots of ideas from. you and your i found to pricey with their ideas ditto to perfect wedding. also all were bad when it came to listing scottish supplies:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120

Oh lord NO! Wedding magazines are full of totally vacuous nonsense which will make her want to gouge her eyes out...or at least that's how I feel when my subscription to Perfect Wedding lands on the mat!
Try "A Practical Wedding" by Meg Keene (it's a book not a magazine). She also has a v good website. Check out the website and if it sounds like it's for you/her then the book makes a great present. Amazon have it in stock - I know cos I just ordered another copy for a friend yesterday.
It doesn't have lists of suppliers or anything, more just down to earth advice about how to deal with suppliers, ways to create the wedding that you want etc etc.0 -
can't remember who recommended but there was a book with mse tips and vouchers in it:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120
