Hi there,
Just wondering if there are any housing associations or other places in North west, Derry/LDerry area that provide around the clock medical care for very vulnerable people yet at the same time will let them live in an independent enviroment, one or two rooms for their use?
He's currently in a house association house but because of serious and critical health issues needs more care.

Hi Martin, my uncle is in Abbey House, Little diamond. Cant reccomend it highly enough, just brilliant. They do 'Housing with Care'. Own flat with meals and housework included. Not sure if it would provide around the clock medical care though, as there are no nurses or medical staff. What they provide is staff who can assist with meds and who can check your relative regularly through the night. Excellent place providing an excellent service but residents need to have a certain level of capability. Ring them, it'll only take a phone call to see if they can help. Good luck, I know how difficult this situation can be for relatives. PM me if you need more details.0

Thank you very much for that information. I will indeed follow it up as the way things are he has not long to live if things carry on the way they are, though saying that no one knows what life is going to bring from day to day.
Even if it is the ideal place it'll take some convincing to get him to move from the house he is in, loves it more than life itself.
Thanks
