Anyone seen a nice selection of chutneys in a gift presentation kind of package this Christmas?

  • Mrs Bridges do nice sets Debenhams had some :)
  • Are you close to a 'nice' deli/farmshop? We went to one near Henley at the weekend and they did half a dozen or so jars, normal and small sizes, that you could make up into a gift box?

B&M Homestore has some in - looked quite nice.
  • Thank you. :)
  • I do have a bespoke deli a little out of town and was going to fall back on that at the weekend, but went into Lakeland this lunchtime and found a set of 3 labeled Christmas, Boxing Day and Michelmass - £10.99. Phew, one more off the list!
  • Good Taste Awards for the Winners you can guaranteehttp://www.greattasteawards.co.uk/ you get a good one, then Foodie columns in Broadsheets who would not recommend a bad product.
Failing that a bloody good recipe from reputable cooks with reputation for top quality recipes.

We always make our own a few months before xmas, using a pretty jar and label. Its so easy to make, very cheap and makes the house smell really xmasy
  • @Wookie Something I need to do, many fine examples on TV and elsewhere how to make delicious Chutneys, however for those times when you can't be bothered to [learn yet] having good makes is a good idea IMHO. Not wanting to detract from the MSE values of a good bit of DIY and old fashioned values that should never have been lost.
