So I'm really now on a tight budget!
Whats your fave either home made food or shop brought food that doesnt cost the earth!!

Sausage and mash...with onions and gravy...how low do you want to go spaghetti and a sauce without meat is very cheap and with the right spices in the sauce is quite nice.:footie:

I was thinking that, for £40 a week for 2 of us i could squeeze in a roast and some steaks :rotfl:
Anyhoo back on topic and it's worth remebering that some people aren't used to smaller budgets or live in more expensive areas i guess.

point I am trying to make is that £40 a week shouldnt be a tight budget.
As for meal ideas .
A reasonable sized chicken will cost less that £5 and make at least 3 days worth of meals.
Bulk out meat curry / chillie etc with lots of pulses/lentils/beans0 -
chicken casserole or toad in the hole.0

Corned beef is far from cheap anymore, which i a pity because i love it
