Mortgages for ex-BR's

Hi,

Went Bankrupt June 2007 so nearly 5 1/2 years down the line and am now looking to get a house/mortgage but am totally unsure of who to get the mortgage with. I have heard about going to brokers but this it totally baffling me.

We currently have 5% saved up but just thought I would get people's views and how much I do really need to save up and which are the best companies to go to for mortgages for Ex-Bankrupts????

All advise welcomed.

Paul.

  • Hi, I am in exactly the same situation, it would be nice to see a reply!
Has the funding for lending scheme opened any avenues? Are there any lend a hand schemes that we would be pitiable for- apart from the bankruptcy our credit rating is excellent.
    Thanks

95% mortgages are far and few between. You may well need to increase the size of your deposit. Or buy a cheaper property.
