Very interesting. I can only see last week's winners listed - have you been keeping track yourself? Sounds like they need tackling about this on facebook!0

They only have last weeks winners up. I first noticed it about 6 weeks ago and have been noting them down. So it's been going on even longer than the past 4 weeks.
I asked them about it last week on FB when they posted the winners list but it was deleted without answer.:coffee:0 -
Looks like the winners are fixed?:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

There's a couple of posts on there mentioning it. The funny thing I think is that I have about 100 friends on FB just from comping, but only 1 friend likes them. That suggests to me that most comping people know to stay away from this company.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
Yes we are related, susan is my wife and amanda my daughter, we played and won fair and square we did not cheat, and cono sur did not fiddle any competition. And of course we all share the same surname, is that unusual? or do all MSE members and their families use different and individual surnames? :rotfl:
The mechanics of the competition (match the pairs) was based on entering at a "lucky moment" the same as many other comps have been 9and no doubt will be) - ie- Southern Comfort earlier in the year - around 5am from memory? The Magnum Gold Icecream comp (entering your stick code at the right time- no we didnt win on that, never found the lucky moment though i know of some who won 10 times or more at £1,000 a go= £10,000 compared to our bottles of wine lol ) and Moam off the top of my head. (sometime in the early hours and around 6am if you stopped up or got up that early)
We found a lucky time (or lucky moment as promoters like to call them) to enter and entered each and every day at or around that time.
Now if you want conspiracy theories try looking more closely at the John Frieda Bag A Box comp just before christmas where some lucky people won over and over again and seemed to have the knack of knowing exactly when the timer (supposedly hidden- and i couldnt see it but it seemed some must have been able to) was about to run out and also when they had had their potential prize snatched even before the app had had the time to update- those who played that comp will know what i mean they instantly snatched back the prize before you had even been told you had bagged that prize and some seemed to have more than 3 entries per day too. Far too coincidental for my liking - some appeared to win on a regular basis, maybe some were even from MSE?
Or the Cotswold Outdoor comp, where you had to match the pairs (camping gear)n where you had to turn over 8 playing cards in as quick a time as possible- some achieved seemingly impossible times of 4.5 seconds (to turn over 8 cards, all perfectly matching first tim round!)- again one try per day per person- unless you knew how it was done- which at the very best smacked of gamesmanship and at the worst cheating.
I was eventually told how they managed such fast times- if the first 2 cards didnt match they refreshed the page (or game card for the sake of argument) and tried again.. and again .. and again until they managed to turn over all 8 paired cards sequently with all matching- get one pair wrong and it took ages for the cards to reset so no chance of a high score, but if you refreshed, and kept on doing so you would eventually get all 8 pairs matching on first click as you went along the top 4 and then the bottom 4- now that to me did seem like cheating- its hardly one try per day per person if your able to refresh each time you get a mis-match and thus get a new "attempt"- but despite it being reported to Cotswold Outdoor all they did was restrict the refresh to 4 refreshes per person per day- before then it had been unlimited refreshes- but being able to refresh was never mentioned in the game play or t&c's and it was clearly stated only one attempt per person per day, refreshing the cards seems to me a bit of a cheat yet they allowed it to continue even after being made aware of this.
The same names appeared numerous times on that winners list.
Now back to Cono sur, i repeat there was no cheating and no fiddling, we were just lucky enough to discover quite by accident one of the winning moments and kept on entering at or around that time, there was no guarantee we would win, anyone who was online at that time and entering at that time could have won instead.
Now i presume with all this outrage and accusations that if someone from MSE found quite by accident a "lucky moment" they would instantly share it with everyone else on MSE so they too could enter and win? pigs might fly!
Ok some will claim yes they would share it, some might even be honest and genuine and mean it and actually do it, many will claim they would share the magic moment but wouldnt really, saying they would simply looks good, and a few more honest people would say no they would not share their winning moment time and would keep it to themselves and keep on entering at their lucky moment time to keep trying to win.
But does that make any one a cheat? or mean that Cono Sur have somehow manipulated the winners? If you believe that then you really do have an inferiority complex or an extremely large portion of envy and so comping is an area that for your mental healths sake you shouldnt be dabbling in.
I enter loads of competitions, i have done for years and some of you may probably even know me from 'elsewhere' and you will therefore already know my views on cheats and cheating. I would also be a multi-millionaire by now and stashing my ill gotten gains in the same banks as some tax avoidance footballers and MP's, sadly i dont have millions (unless i was lucky in the millionaires eurodraw last night, i suppose if i did then i fiddled that too? :rotfl:) but i do have a broken Central Heating System and need a new boiler and a leaky roof (the one over the house), sadly bottles of wine won't fix those.0 -

Never entered this one but "Lucky Moments" are usually random so catching one would not normally give any idea when the next one would be.
Watch out for those pig droppings
There have been many posts about ongoing competitions that have suddenly started to give out lots of prizes etc, usually with a "get in there now" type of comment: for example just a few of the many on the "Moam" one alone -- "Be quick guys its now restocked for today. Good luck"--- "Was working for me late last night, about 11.30ish?" ---"It's re-stocked"---"QUICK FOLKS ITS OPEN - 00.05AM 14/11"--etcshare it with everyone else on MSE so they too could enter and win
Exactly what do you think posting competitions in the first place does?0 -

Yes, any normal "random moment" competition should be at a different time each day.
I'm not sure how much I believe of what sammy has written but if it is true then I do think they have been incredibly selfish and greedy. I for one - and I know many others on these boards - WOULD have shared the time so someone else could have gotten lucky.
Personally I would feel terrible if I had won all the prizes for myself.0
