That so whats going on with the price of food then because as far as i can see on a daily basis the cost of food is getting ever more expensive. Not forgetting the rises in gas and electric.0

According to the article, domestic energy prices aren't in the inflation figures yet because the prices have only just gone up.
Food's gone up because the lousy summer ruined a lot of crops. Petrol's gone down a bit. The two pretty much cancelled each other out.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
The figure could also have dropped because an increase in the rate in October 2011 has now dropped off the end of the twelve month rolling period used for these stats.I am a mortgage broker.
