1.4% credit card fee an allowable expense on SA?

Hello,

It's that time of year again where I hand over too much money to HMRC!

Does anyone know if the 1.4% transaction fee HMRC charge for paying by credit card is an 'allowable expense' for my next Self Assessment?

I've tried a search here and elsewhere, but haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

I thought the government said it was abolishing consumers paying credit card transaction fees.

Why is it still charging them?

no, they're supposed to be banning excessive fees. 1.4% sounds about in line what credit card companies will charge them, so it's fine.
