Newman Debt Collectors - Ebay

Options
Hi

Same as all the other threads but I need some clarification.

I had an outstanding debt on eBay, genuinely didn't know about it, I paid it off direct to eBay as soon as i found out, it was only £11.

Newman have sent me a letter saying i owe them £20, however i have already paid off the debt to eBay.

Are Newman aloud to charge me an additional £9 admin fee as the general consensus from the forum seems to be that they dont own the debt so cannot charge anything?

I dont know whether to just pay and have done with it or stick to my guns and not pay the £9?

Thanks

tell them to take you court, tell them you dispute as already paid to the creditor
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
