    Geenyweeny, that solicitors quote looks pretty standard to me, but you should get some other quotes to compare prices - L&C sent me a conveyancing quote and it wasnt much cheaper than my local solicitors. There's plenty of debate about local vs online conveyancers on this forum, its worth doing a search!

    Edit: I said "this forum", but actually most of the conveyancer talk is in the House Buying forum! I forgot where I was for a moment!
