Keeping me on the right track....

Hi there all,
I have recently become addicted to reading the debt free diaries and thought I would like to join the community (never posted on anything like this before) and keep the motivation to stay on the right MSE track.
Anyway a bit about me.... I am now debt free (yippee!) as of May 2012 after completing a dmp with cccs. I started it in September 2007 with just under 17k of debt. At that point I was a single mum with a 1 yr old and suffering from a lot of stress and anxiety. But those days are far behind me and I feel like a completely different person now. My debts arose from a combination of never being very good with my finances and then when I took maternity leave my partner did not support me financially and I got into a lot of debt trying to maintain the same lifestyle. Once we had split and I was back working I had a mini breakdown ( I would call it that now but didn't realise at the time) and my lbm.
I have used these forums for motivation and inspiration throughout my journey but didn't have the guts to post. I kept my debt a secret from all my family and friends and to this day the only person I have told is my current partner who has been an AMAZING support and I couldn't have done it without him.
I am now on maternity leave again and debt free and intend to keep it that way and for the first time in my life I want to start saving once I am back at work. That's why I want to keep this diary and try to stick to a budget and eventually start savings. At the moment I have £255 in my instant access ISA (was more but had some large bills to pay and Christmas shopping).
So 2013 will be my first year with no debt since I was 18!! Hope some of you will follow me on my journey of remaing debt free for the future.
Bye for now

Thank you for your replies....
So far this week I have pretty much stuck with my budget.
Monday NSD :j
Tuesday spends from cash in purse: £1.5 on stamps, £8 on two swimming costumes for dd1, and £0.35 on spring onions ( reduced of course!)
Wednesday NSD :j
Tomorrow will be a spend day too as I need to go to Mr A to get some bits in, hoping to use rest of cash in purse to do this and not put on debit card.0
