I assume you have has 101 requests for this, but if not, we could make use of it. I work in a school and we have a couple of Kobos in the library to encourage students to read who otherwise run away from books - a £5 voucher would help buy a new book!
  • Still got it - sent you PM :D

I have one too and I will PM you now :)
  • I won one of these today, was about to do the same as you, but just realised there is a Kebo for iPad app, so I can still use it :-)

Thanks so much to the OP and the others who sent the codes through for us to use in school. I promise they will be put to good use!
We bought them as a bit of a trial but the kobos are proving really popular with teenage boys who wouldn't pick up a book!

Damn tricky to redeem these codes, they don't appear to apply to everything (I wanted 'Street Cat Named Bob' and it can't be redeemed against it), and it doesn't tell you what books accept 'Promo Codes' until you purchase them, and if you only spend say £1.70 of it, the 'change' vanishes.

Shame it doesn't appear to be added as 'store credit' as my £5 code ended up as a £1.70 code which is a pain :( and the Kobo web site doesn't allow you to add several to you shopping basket!

Just a heads up for anyone redeeming them, to check which book is most profitable to redeem against.
  • If there are any codes going spare I would be very grateful for one for my partner's school library use too. If not don't worry, was worth asking :)

    Thanks everyone

Found that the books available to redeem the voucher code are one that DON'T end in 9p ie £4.99 £3.49

Down to publisher rights and stuff

And don't get fooled in to buying the classics, the likes of Pride and Prejudice are available at https://www.gutenberg.org for free due to expired copyright in many countries

Kobo is the worse e-bookshop. I had it on an Android tablet and never could get books on the thing, (lucky only freebie books) customer service are twonks.

I got caught out with the NO CHANGE x 2 affair but I complained, my gord it was hard work because it got lost in translation, (Pringles and Kobo) anyway eventually I got the change added to my account.

I can never log in from the website, only lets you logs in after you are in the check-out mode.

They are total twonks!!!! I've had to stop emails as they were sending up to 3 a day!!
