Energy drinks

Hello
I just to drink a lot of energy drinks while at work but they were costing me a fortune, so I have cut them out altogether.
I work long hours at work and these drinks would give me a much needed boost during the day, are there any alternatives that might have the same effect? ( I don't like coffee though)

What about natural everyday things like bananas and porridge which will give you slow release energy.
You won't get anything like energy drinks because they are full of sugar and put you on a high then they put you on a low which makes you crave more:heart2:Mummy to a beautiful little girl:heart2:

Lots of water, it'll be better for your teeth and skin too.
I used to drink one bottle of lucozade a day, once you get out of the habit of drinking it you don't miss it, it's only a short term boost anyway.0 -
Energy drinks are full of caffeine. How about taking along some snacks to nibble on during the shift? I have almonds in a tupperwared that I dig into.0

not quite the same thing but when I go for a long bike ride I used to buy the exercise drinks which were quiet pricey then I googled them and there were recipies to make your own so there may be similar things for the type of energy fix you are after?0

There's lots of recipes online for healthy snacks to either give energy or restore lost nutrients after running, for example. Like banana muffins, and things like that.

If you really 'need' the artifical high the energy drinks give you could try Dextro Energy tablets instead, they're about £1 for 14 from supermarkets/chemists and taste quite nice. I got them for my son when he went to Reading this summerAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
