With my 2013 salary increase I will earn £19,341pa and I currently work a 37.5 hour week. With an impending change in T&Cs, we will be moved onto a 40 hour week in line with another department who are paid extra for this.
Can anyone work out what my salary would be on 40 hours?
Thanks

£19341?
Your 2013 salary increase is to £19341, you are also having an hours increase to 40 hours from 37.5.
Or are the two completely separate?0 -
Or £19,341! This is a salary? Nothing says the employer has to increase it. Have you actually asked if they are changing your salary!??0

No, no-one can work this out. If you are hourly paid and if your hourly rate of pay is staying the same, you would earn £20,630.40. However, there are two 'ifs' in the first sentence, and none of us know whether either of these conditions are likely to be met in your new T & C. And none of us know whether your 2013 salary increase will happen either, or is just something which has been implemented historically.
Presumably you have a contract, however. This may contain a contractual right to an hourly rate of pay (it might even contain a promise that your rate of pay will increase by x% each year, and is currently £x per hour). None of us know any of these things..........
(What I do know, however, and I suspect SarEl will agree, is that employers are consistently trying to get 'more for less' in the current climate)

Oh - I agree. Which is why £19341 is a posible answer!0

You have said WITH the 2013 salary increase you wil get £19,341 this does not mean you are going to get a pro rata incease from the 37.5 hrs to the 40 hour week. This may already be included in the increase and only you can answer that if you talk to your HR team. We’ve had to remove your signature. In Jan 2013, my salary has a 2.5% increase to £19341. This is confirmed.
Also later in the year, our terms and conditions may change so we move to a 40 hours - I just wondered what the pro-rata increase would be. £20,630 sounds about right!!2016 diet challenge 16lbs/42lbs lost
