Election 2015 TV Debate Winners Losers & Who's Invited-Ukip?

Election 2015 TV Debate - should Ukip be invited? Some people say they surely have to be, as often appearing in polls (inc this weekend) as Britains third party - ie ahead of the Lib Dems. Biut they don't have any MPs - does this them bar them? Or does anyone think this is outweighed by the poll ranking, poss 23%! Interesting, don't think this has ever happened before! Cameron is frit according to this newspaper blog article (but found it curious that Ukip were ignored in it!

Interesting piece. It goes back to what o was saying on a previous thread about this: rulers don't like debates as they cede some of the incumbent advantage.

I would imagine that UKIP would get to take a place in 1 of 3 debates or something if they happen.

Depends what happens between now and then I suppose... bbc sunday politics today was unanimous they would keep momentum! Cant see Nigel taking a No lying down tho Lol! In some ways the tv election debate would be spiced up by his presence - wonder how the media companies weigh up these things (Edutainment!)

I found the debate completely meaningless last time round to be honest.

It was pretty much a party election broadcast, claiming each arty would do X Y and Z. They didn't, and wouldn't.

Another debate would be the same thing again. I'm not sure how useful they are....though, I'll admit, it was a little entertainment.

Did anyone see BBC Sunday Politics yesterday? Right up my street as they had a psychotherapist on who voiced several observations I had made about what the leaders body language gives away (ie Cameron=submissive towards Miliband, relying heavily on drink of water prop as self-comfort/Miliband on a roll = showing a lot of toothy smile etc) Will be fascinating to watch how all this plays out towards the Big Day of the debate!

    Do they have coaching?
