can you get a default removed if the company agrees if you have now settled the acc

ok so i know this is a long shot but i have 4 defaults on my account amount are for £86, £126, £350 amd £950

the £350 is already satisfied as i have since paid it off but the other 3 especialy the 2 small amount ones is it possible to contact the lenders and offer to pay in full and if they are willing to remove the default? i have had debt upto my eyeballs for years but ive managed to reduce it from about 30 thousand to under 1 thousand (not including the above 3 outstanding totals that have already defaulted)

im going to pay these 3 outstanding debts as well just wondering what the chances r of removing these defaults

Of course it is worth a try. Ring and say you will pay the outstanding amount if they will remove the default from your file. They can only say no. If they say yes it is best to wait for it in writing before you pay the balance so you will have something to fall back on if they don't. The £350 one will stay on for 6 years showing as settled but it will not make any difference to you being able to obtain credit, I think it will be a very slim chance that you will get any other than sub prime if any at all. As it is paid you can only ask if they will remove it out of the goodness of their hearts. Because you have paid it you have nothing to barter with as you do with the others.
