Woolworths have a Garman I3 for £144, which is cheap. Personally I have TomTom Navigator 5 which is more expensive but good.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

My husband bought one from Halfords and took it back within 36hrs and dug out an atlas .His one kept telling him to turn right instead of bear left etc.The software claimed to be the latest release (aug 05) but listed petrol staions that had been closed 3yrs +.We programmed it to take us to places we knew how to get there and it was pathetic one journey took us 6.4 miles longer than our normal route.
Long live atlases and Os maps in my opinion.0 -
Which one was it? I have had very few problems with TOMTOM they are excellent and unlike your Atlas, if you take a wrong turn it soon redirects you so you don't have to fumble about with the Atlas especially if your on your own half way up the motorway.
I would suggest you check the website for a software update or buy TOMTOM.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
I am unsure which one it was I will pick DH's brains.(Medion springs to mind)
I may have been abit harsh in my post but I am lucky to have a very good sense of direction and ability to map read ( yes I was a girl guide and did my Duke of Edinburgh). My Dh thinks this is all a hilarious as I have great difficulty with left and right!!0 -
Our TomTom300 may very well save our marriage! However, the TomTom 1 is slimmer and cheaper, according to Fifth Gear. Oh, and apart from it trying to send my husband down a no-through road just as he gets close to home. The Garmin i3 is commonly about the £145 mark, but has a small screen.0
