Tesco Beef Topside Joint - on offer until 25/12 @ £4.98 per kilo. Will they be open Xmas day?? lol

Morrisons have beef roasting joints for £4.95 per kilo until 23/12.

Both vacuum packed I believe.

    But is it edible?

    I gave up buying cuts like topside some years ago as even those from good sources (butchers as opposed to supermarkets) were tough more often than not.

    I've come to the view that (I think) Delia Smith first said - that only rib on the bone will roast really well.

    Apologies if I'm not allowed to say this, but I've never had a good joint of beef from Tesco in the vacuum pack, always been tough, even the finest ones. I always get mine from Sainsbury,and I've never had a bad one.
    Have lots more ‘Pending’
    But total money I’ve received from Cashback Sites by performing 'Daily Clicks' is ;
