Australian contributing to a UK pension fund

Hello
Im an Australian who works for the NHS and I plan to work in the UK for another two years. Is it worth me contributing to a pension fund whilst I'm here? Is it difficult to transfer back to Oz?
I have read that you can loose some of your money in the transfer so I want to find out if it is worth putting into the pension whilst I'm in the UK or should I just put into a ISA account?

Yes, as a final salary pension it is worth it. Don't know the details about any transfer, but you don't have to transfer it. you can leave it there, and draw it when you retire in Aus many years later.
But you must be a member for a full 2 years I think, or you will only get back your contributions. Check the scheme details and join w/o delay.0 -
Thanks for your response. One quick question what is W/O delay?0

w/o delay = without delay ie Monday 17thI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
I would sign up now for one main reason...
Even though you probably find it unlikely now, anything could happen in the next two years which means you don't go back to Australia as planned (or end up going back later). If that happens you'll be kicking yourself that you missed out on joining when you could.0
