Whole turkey LEGS only £3 in Morrisons!

Bargain find on the butchers counter in Grimsby Morrisons but probably at other branches too.

These turkey legs are both the thigh and drumstick and the label says minimum weight 1600g (it's in the oven now so can't weigh it!)

We are going to have turkey & chips for tea and I'm going to make a big batch of turkey & veg soup to last a couple of days. It would be good for freezing for later on if you will have had enough of turkey next weeK!

I asked my local Morrisons butcher if he had turkey legs?

He said no but that's the way he walks!

I asked OH about this as Morrisons is 10 mins' walk away, thinking I could freeze then roast and slice for buffet and make turkey stock with bones. OH refused though said he coud happily live without turkey ever again.

Last year I bought diced turkey and turkey mince at Christmas to make turkey soup, burgers, curry, risotto and I think maybe I bought too much :o

    Shame.. sigh..I like curried turkey

Well it was very tasty with parsnip chips and a packet of savoury rice!

Last Christmas we had 8 legs of venison for £100 from a bloke down the pub, but I thought it was just too dear!!
