Hi there
I've heard there has been more success recently with regard personal unsecured loan applications and was wondering if forum members might have any feedback for me? Any tips or recommendations for lenders to apply to? Believe me, if I could do more to pay it off I would but train tickets, pension, rent, utilities etc have gone up dramatically, and I'm a public servant in the middle of a 3 year pay freeze, so I'm beginning to panic.
I earn £27k and I need a debt consolidation loan of £12k. I applied back in December 2011/January 2012 when HSBC were offering rates of 7.9%, however they ended up offering 16.9% which was the same as my credit cards so little point.
Thanks.

Best thing to do would be to post a SOE (statement of income v outgoings) over on the "Debt Free Wannabee" board. You will get helpful advise on where to cut back so you are living within your means.
Consolidations never work, they just end up with you paying loans forever and getting nowhere.0
