Hi amberfinn53! I'm on the toiletries challenge too! I noticed some people are putting money into a jar for each item they've used up, so me and my partner are planning on putting 50p into our jar for each item. Once the supply has gone/jar is full i'll add that onto my total :) Every little helps! How many items did you have? I had 151, but it's gone up a little since the boots sale this morning lol!

As for swagbucks, i recently signed up and cannot understand it! You need alot of points to get £5 in vouchers, and you get 4 points for doing a long survery. I think i worked out you needed to do about 2 days worth of surveys to get £5, so it's down to you if you think it's worth it. I'd steer clear of Toluna, i found halfway through a survey it'd be filled and you've wasted 15minutes for nothing :( Good luck with making a bit of extra cash :)

This sounds like a good challenge vic.star. I used up two bottles this morning so will start a jar. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Hiya

I am a mystery shopper, have a house full of junk, and am considering a second job. I think this is just the help I need ....

    Thank you.

welcome techiescot. Out of interest, do you declare the mystery shopping to the tax man?

I would love to be signed up. Ignore my extremely low post count, I'm a long-time lurker. Surveys aren't my cup of tea, but complaints, freebies and buying/selling are.

I'll be saving whatever wages I can, as well as any methods to earn bonuses outside of work. I would appreciate being added to the SS too, please.

I have been reading though this thread with some facination. I never realised there were so many ways to raise or save money, it really is an eye opener.

One this is worrying me though, dosent all this Swagbucks, Consumer Poll etc mess up your pc? I am sure mine would grind to a halt with all the spyware that you must pick up. The everything I had earned would be spent on a new pc.

Dont mean to be negative, this is a a great thread and I am inspired!
The more I find out the less I know!

I'm careful not to do the "download and earn (x) points" offers etc. I ran anti-virus scan and malware scan last weekend and found no baddies on my pc.

£159 so far from a mixture of cashback and ebay items, so almost on track for the month. If i'm honest though much of it is payments from last year that have finally come through, so need to work a bit harder to keep things going.

It is! We all keep each other motivated and it's a really friendly group. I didn't go on it since 2pm yesterday and had 3 pages of chat to catch up on!! :rotfl: As for the money in a jar, i throw my spare change in one anyway, but one member mentioned putting money in for every use up to put towards new toiletries after the stash has gone, or to treat themselves :) Some are putting £1 in, but i find 50p is easier to let go of ;) haha! Glad to pass it on :)
