I got a £1.00 bottle of nail polish from Poundworld :rotfl:
I bought a £25 Mac make up gift set :rotfl: tee hee oh well I should have known people wouldn't have stuck to the £20 budget.
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun

£20 is a lot! THat's what I would spend on a good mate, or on my mum.

I would have taken £20 to mean that you shouldn't spend more than that (a limit rather than an aim) so maybe that person misunderstood too.

£20 is the Secret Santa budget for my group of close friends!

When we had one where I used to work it was a £5 budget, I've got a couple of random items to remind me of those days, my favourite is the wine glass that holds a full bottle.
  • we are doing secret santa, and the stipulation is that it has to be only something from the pound shop!:j

Our work secret Santa limit is £5 and we had ours today. I got a Liverpool FC calendar...and I am a Liverpool fan so that's great. Last year I got a Doctor Who calendar, and yes I am also a fan of that too. I'm the only person who seems to get calendars - not sure if they're trying to tell me something!
  • I have to get a secret Santa for tomorrow eveing, I have no idea what to get/do.

Going to be a lucky dip style secret Santa, so needs to be suitable for male and female. £2 Max spend, however I am working until 2 tomorrow then make starters for 10, cook a meal for my 2 children and as the do is being held at my house have a quick clean and tidy around and lay the table.

    Any suggestions would be great.

wow £20 that's double what me and my close friends' budget is. The only problem is that one of us always gets the short straw and has the extra expense of sending the present to one of the ladies.
Last year I got a make up bag and emery file, I don't wear make up and my nails tend to get oil under them from working on my car. Think it was a hint.
This year I've bought really well, with one of the presents being for the benefit of the receiver's favourite charity.
Will let you know what I get when it happens.

I would love a dr who calendar!!!
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.
  • Last year i got 5 £1 lucky dips for the lottery...and i got 4 numbers up...£80..i was well pleased....
