** Confusion over annual usage/annual spend **

Hi all, the time has come for me to do my yearly comparisons as E.ON has contacted me regarding moving me on to the standard plan, price rises etc.

I have been given the following as a guide:

4.461 KWH for electricity and 16.823 KWH for gas.

What I don't understand is when I put these figures in to comparison tools they come up with way more for annual spends than I pay for, therefore, giving me inaccurate amounts for savings.

Example:

Price Check January 2014
Monthly Direct Debit
Service provided by British Gas
Tracks cheapest standard prices until 31st January 2014
Cancellations fees apply
Tariff Details
£2,275 4 Stars rating £220
(9%)

Now, I don't spend anywhere near that amount yearly, so I don't understand why it's showing up like that?

Any ideas?

Using Energyhelpline.com, it says the annual cost for your consumption on the Sainsbury's Price Check January 2014 tariff would cost you £1275 p.a.

Thank you!! That's more realistic. I must be doing something wrong then, as the figures quoted were from energy helpline!!
