I've also bought tickets (gadget show live) to give as gifts. I am planning on putting them in a nest of tissue paper in a flat box (upcycled from chocolates) that I am going to cover with Xmas paper and also relevant pictures and logos printed from the internet etc.

However, if anyone has a better (easier) idea I would be grateful as I am short on time this year!
  • How about in a book connected to the comedian, or tucked into a DVD cover.
  • I gave my other half a calendar last year with "going to see Jimmy carr" on the date.

I'm also interested in some ideas. We've got my mil and fil tickets to see The Tina Turner story ' Soul Sister' , but I wouldn't want to put pics of Tina Turner on anything incase they think they are actually going to see her. But can't think of any other way to give them.

Try sticking them to the bottom of a joke item, e.g. jack in a box, snakes in a tin, etc.

    Something like this:

if you google Soul Sister show and click images there are a whole lot of pictures- not all Tina Turner herself. Maybe you could pick one or a collage of several which are relevant to print out for a front cover/ folder to hold tickets? I see one of them is the show poster.

You could put a narrow banner across the front- as they do when it says "last performance", "playing tonight" only this time put "The STORY of Tina Turner" or "Starring X" to make it clear that she is not involved!

  • I've had the same problem this year. I've bought tickets to a show in london so came up with the idea of creating a short movie building up to what there present was going to be using some cheap editing software (iMovie). At the end I put a trailer for the show so they would have some idea before we go.

I burnt it off and wrote 'Play me' on the front and put in an empty DVD case and just wrapped this. Hopefully should keep the surprise going for a little longer and only took me 10 minutes to make. :)

inside a Christmas cracker? Rolled up so they don't tear .

Or making a treasure hunt with clues to find them tucked away somewhere?
