Ground rent and maintainance @ £1200 pa seems to indicate it's leasehold, but no, it doesn't make any difference.
Wood and trees situation here. Doh! :o

A leasehold property would see the leaseholder needing to seek consent to sublet from the freeholder, Russe11.

    Hi all,

    Just to answer some questions:

    - The property is leasehold and a flat

    - I received permission to sublet from the freeholders management company when it was first let 2.5 years ago, this does not expire.

    - HSBC have confirmed I do not quality for a buy to let with them as even on their relaxed rules for existing customers I do not earn enough. They normally only offer them to Premier account customers.

    - I don't like the idea of defaulting, I want to be pro-active and be sure I am stable with mortgage plans come August.

    - My residential status is a permanent main home owned outright by my long term boyfriend and a second home we rent privately and actually live in, subsidised heavily by his employer due to a short term role away from the main office (where our main home is). Hence me not having a perm job due to moving for his.
