  • During the last ScotRail strikes, I didn't notice a difference on my line. In fact I understand that 92% of services ran.

Of course things may be different this time round, but ScotRail's statements say "There is no doubt that the majority of our services will run"

Don't you mean 'Striker Crow' called a Strike on Cross-Country.

Its good to see the RMT standing firm to support one of their colleagues whos sacking seems to be somewhat questionable.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

That's what employment tribunals are for... (Which have a reputation for favouring the employee over the company - hence why companies are so reluctant to fire people nowadays unless they are grossly negligent).

Yes, crow has called for strike action, after the workforce voted for it?
Would you rather have no protection from big business? Who are you going to ask for help, if you loose your job?:(

Yes the majority of services will run, as Scotrail have been
refreshing/training the managers/supervisors/office workers that did it the last time on all the safety critical work that guards have to do re running a train.

Of course they will be concentrating on these roles so the additional duties of selling tickets and interaction with customers will not happen.

The strike is not meant to impact on the public, but rather the company who have to pay these people at vastly enhanced rates and put them up in hotel accommodation at this time of year.

Strike inaction perhaps. I expect it was a clearcut majority of the 22% who voted. If management have acted contrary to regulations/laws then they deserve to both lose and pay a penalty as a result of a tribunal rather than have Mr Crow and his politically motivated cronies choosing a couple of days of putting people to maximum inconvenience for his own ends. Shame we can't send him to an off shore island far away.

The managers/supervisors/office workers that have to be paid extra or put up in a hotel overnight will still be a cheaper option than the 'Network Fine' Scotrail will occur if they had to cancel trains.

Also all the RMT staff wages they won't pay for those strike days will go towards the extra costs.
