Can you use ISAs to offset?

Hi

I've heard of people offsetting ISAs against their mortgage, but I don't seem to be able to find any lenders that will allow me to do that, or ideally allow family also to offset ISAs against my mortgage.

I've not seen a dedicated "offset mortgage" using an ISA (I'm guessing the tax free status would be wasted as you'd almost always be in debt anyway) What you can do is get an interest only mortgage & set up your own ISA in parallel, either cash if the interset rates work out in you favour or stocks & shares if you're prepared to accept the investment risk

There would be no point as the interest you would be saving would be tax free any way.
