I was struggling last month and payday was on the 18th needed to food shop on sun 16th went to Iceland and paid by cheque not something i have done in years!!
The cheque has just gone thro my bank today 23rd fantastic 8 days grace, also used cheque at primark and hairdressers --- but beware a lot of retailers wont take cheques these days!
Another good weeze is shop at home bargain type pound shops where you can get all your favourite brands but maybe with arabic/greek etc writing on, or even better go back to good old fashioned soap instead of shower gell, family was resistant at first but if you buy good quality soap they soon accept it and you start to save a fortune!!
