Sorry if this is a stupid question but why can't one use scissors? Wondering if a wick trimmer is something I need to invest it!:o:)
  • Not a stupid question at all :rotfl:

I DO use scissors at the moment and they hurt my fingers, need sharp ones and when I burn large jar candles, its a struggle to reach far enough in.

The wick trimmer has longer handles than my scissors and they are supposed (say Yankee) to trim the wicks to the optimum length.

Its been dispatched today say I will soon find out if its any good.

I burn lots of different candles, so hoping it will fit into my narrow and tall jar candles too.

    :D

I use the Yankee wick trimmer and it's just the perfect tool to reach to the bottom of the large jars with ease.

Did anyone do the 'brilliant gift shop' £10 for a large candle deal a few weeks back? My order arrived today, I was meant to receive Angel Wings but they said they were out of stock and decided to send me Vanilla Cupcake instead! It would have been nice for them to contact me first! I'm not very keen on the vanilla scents!!

I ordered Candy Cane Lane and Spiced Orange and received exactly as orderd - think I was lucky as heard ofmany who got substitutions without being notified first.
