Anybody have a problem with the tarts not melting uniformly? I've had a few now that just refused to melt completely or only melted in the middle. I am using a burner bought from the Yankee Candle shop. Sometimes it's fine and the tart melts quickly and completely, others it doesn't do a thing.October Wins: Skin care cream exclusive to Harrods, £50 Amazon voucher, bottle of Bacardi Oakheart.0

I haven't had any issues with the tarts not melting - although I have Yankee candle tart burners. TBH I don't use a whole one anyway - I break them into quarters and then use 2 quarters per burner.0

I found this is because the t-lights are not strong enough or close enough so the heat wasn't reaching the tart. Try putting one upside down t light under the lit one but make sure it's safe of course and won't fall off!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
might be a silly question but are the Simply Home Asda YK's actually Yankee Candles? Or are they a rip off brand of the YK?0

Hi yankee simply home are an affordable yankee range sold in Asda, tesco and B and Q.
As for melts/tarts and tealights they do recommend you use yankee tealights (which are expensive but they do work the best... Burn time, heat etc) however having tried a few I've stuck with ikea tea lights now. I've had a couple of occasions where on the first burn it hasn't melted fully but it still lets out fragrance! By the second or third burn it's just fine.0
