Final Credit Checks before Completion Query

Morning all,
Question regarding the final checks the mortgage providers does prior to completion.
Myself and my wife had a mortgage offer from Halifax in Late October this year. Either party is no in rush to complete this side of Christmas so it will most likely be January.
Question is around the final credit check done at completion. So initially checks would've been done in October, we will be moving back into the parents house for a few months from now whilst renovations are done to our house that we hope to complete on in Jan.
I am closing down all my account at my current address i.e. council tax, utility, and moving my Sky/Broadband to my parents house...
Is there any potential issues I'm going to have by moving to my parents address and any final credit checks. Just concerned that if I move now to my parents, and Halifax do a search mid Jan when i complete, we won't be at the current address as we'll be at my parents address.
Perhaps i'm worrying over nothing but it would be unimaginable if it were to affect the final check before completion.
Thanks for reading.

I would not do it to be honest because the change of address might get picked up by the Credit Ratings Agencies and the automated checks done by Halifax may fail, requiring a human to review them.
If it is not going to cause much hassle, I would leave the accounts as it is and not touch them.0 -
Thanks for the reply Harvey. I guess the bank account, electoral roll, and any credit cards I will wait to change until I completion...my parents address should already be a linked address anyway as I was living there less than 3 years ago so do have history there too.
I will have to settle all bills regarding the utilities/council as someone else is moving into the property I'm vacating on 2nd Jan!0 -
Settling the accounts is not a problem. The problem is moving the accounts to your temporary address.
If you are settling them it should be fine. However I would not recommend moving those accounts to a new address before completing.0
