Reconstituted powder milk (25p a litre) will go a long way to filling your protein needs.
And growing your own fruit and veg but if you can't do that go for frozen mixed veg.And if you live near the countryside, elderberries and blacknerries are free.
Keep away from the alcohol aisles and confectionery and processed food. Use basic vinegar for cleaning (less than 20p a bottle).
Radio and free books from the library instead of TV etc. Clothes from a charity shop.
No end of savings if you aint too proud.

well my advice: go to the market around closing time and they will give you huge amounts of veg and fruit to get rid of them. then make lots of soup and salads etc for pennies. I make a huge batch of soup - some for the day, some for work lunch and freeze the rest.
NEVER EVER go to Tesco it is humogeneously expensive I dropped it years ago unless I'm using a coupon or have seen an offer on here. lol! Also you tend to pick up expensive stuff you don't want!!

I also shop at Asda at 9 in eve when loads of stuff is 10p from 4 pints of milk to meat - I've a freezer full!! Ans waitrose at 6'ish - you need to work out the times for your locals stores. But I don't go there specially only if in the area anyway. Farmstores is also good too.

I spend about £10 a year on cleaning stuff - you don't need half of it - Use washing up liquid or natural stuff eg white vinegar etc

I am on economy 7 and do all washing tumble drying at the cheap rate and use the cheapest washing powder.

If I will need large purchases soon such as coffee (I like decaf Nescafe and PG Tips tea) I never buy it anywhere immediately, I start to look on here or in stores when popping in and always save lots. I got nescafe decaf for £4 for 300g last time and my mate paid £5.79 for 200g.

Always have a list in the kitchen and anything coming to an end pop on there.

Also have trained family to look for bargains when out shopping and text me or buy them if cheap enough!!

I look on here daily to find bargains and always use bogof or a free drink when I go out eg this week so far (birthday week) have had two free meals at Yates bought two drinks for £3.79. Free drinks at green king for birthday - signed up on-line. then buy 2 meals get drink free again at green king!!

Also got the buy 2 £1 mags subs on here and got the years taste card free worth $29 and it gives BOGOF meals at our fave French restaurant very posh!!

also use the waitrose card and get a free coffee and mail or telegraph every time I shop, as well as the 10p cakes at 4 o'clock!

if i buy on-line I use a cash-back credit card then use quidco or topcashback (i got £120 so far this year just buying normal stuff and getting £60 if you buy £5 life insurance then cancelling after 3 months etc

we have boots optician and get nectar points also british gas same - in process of changing to a cheaper supplier though!

As I save so much I treat myself sometimes to a posh coffee or magazine and feel really smug!!!

thanks all for the tips n bargains on here!!
