Got ours last week - nice quality and a nice box. There are 6 with Eccleston Dr Who and Billie Piper pics on the cover, and 4 with David Tennant and Billie Piper on. We don't watch the series but they seem to be all new stories, no Daleks or Cybermen as far as I can see. I would say the reading age is probably about 10 plus - we were going to keep them for my 7 year old but he has started them so they may be ok for young readers with a bit of help. Great for presents or to split as party gifts.
Here's what I think are the best deals on Book People at the moment:
20 Usbourne Farmyard Tales books - age 4+ - £12.99, Stephen Cartwright illustrations.
Roald Dahl -10 books on 27 CD's - £18.99
Six Moomintroll books - £6.99. Magical.
Enid Blyton - 8 St Clares books (age8+) - £8
Little Princess - 10 books £8
Just William - 10 books £10
Animal Ark - 10 books £10
Redwall Series - 10 books -£10
8 Quentin Blake books £9
The following adult fiction are all 10 books for £10 - outstanding bargains:
Gerges Simonon 'Maigret', Inspector Wexford, Patrick O'Brien (Master and Commander guy), Daphne Du Maurier, Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Don't buy Agatha Raisin books, they are pants.
ps Sorry for the long, post, and no, I don't work for them, but they have VG customer service and we get loads of stuff from them.0 -
