This yr for the first time we have made them for our tree.
So far we have Red pom poms, a white paper chain, lots of salt dough stars, letters (spelling Love, Joy etc.
I'd like some pine cones - but i think i'm a bit late to collect them.
Any other ideas for me please?
thank you!

Thank you both, The danish paper hearts reminded me that i bought an usbourne craft book which has templates for decs.
Knitting and Sewing i'm hopeless at!
Walnuts we wouldn't eat - although they would look lovely! I have asked on Facebook for family and friends if they have any Red/ white decorations spare in exchange for some on my millions of silver!
I'm loving my crafted Xmas tree but i needs more lol! So i will try the biscuits with some fox's glaciers! Sounds lovely

Another idea- twirly paper "baubles".
Cut at least 3 identical shapes -eg stars, bells , balls, in paper. Crease one down the centre. Open out staple along fold line and then open out. Use fine thread to hang so that the shape twists in the air. Very effective with 5 or 6 layers of thinish paper, and probably not too large.
The other bird image I tried to paste but could not ..it defied me!- was made with strips of thin card or thick paper curved round & fixed together. Again hang with thin thread so that they move in the breeze
I think your tree will look great in red & white.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I made some little present decs a few years ago, wrapped up mini smartie boxes in shiny paper & tied gift ribbon around in a bow, hang with a cotton loop. Very quick & easy to make, you could use matchboxes too. This is a good way to use up left over scraps of wrap, the bits you cut off.0

paper roses - there are lots of tutorials out there - they look lovely made from old paperback books - and you could dip the edges in glitter - or red paper would look fab if you had some....I know its not traditional to have a flowering tree ...but who cares !Fight Back - Be Happy0
