I just bought my wedding dress! :-D

Hi all,

Been lurking a few weeks but this is my first post. Just found out 5 weeks ago that I'm preggie and since I'm a traditional girl and all that's left me and the oh with 4 months to plan a VERY budget wedding for 180 *eeps*
Had been thinking about going the Chinese dress route although I was terribly scared due to the high positive/negative feedback swing on here, but I just bought my dress bnwot on eBay for.... (drum roll) £99! Woo hoo- so proud of myself ;-P
Anyways- just wanted to share with some other mse'rs and to say thanks so far for all the tips.

Love n jam, Katie x

Cool! I am also trying (and failing!) to plan t a budget wedding for 180 people! I'd be interested to hear more about that.
AND I was planning to go down the Chinese online route! When do you expect the dress to arrive?
Congrats on the pregnancy and the upcoming wedding!!
  • Thanks guys :-) sooo excited! Although of course to anyone not on here I'm cool, calm and collected of course ;-)

Zlata- I'm hoping the dress will make it by Xmas but I'm not holding my breath, postage says royal mail 2nd class recorded delivery. What's your budget btw? We're trying to do 180 guests on £2500.00- preferably less... it really makes you prioritise and work out what you can do yourself and what you can do without. It seemed like such a large amount of money before I started too :-( so far got rings (£38.00 for both), his suit (£69.00 next), the dress obviously, venue (£250.00), church (£460.00), dresses (£70.00 for both), just seems like so much to do/spend :-0... Whilst working full time, trying to find a house 2.5 hrs away and building a baby!

Good luck to everyone else on their planning :-)
